
Service Announcements
There is currently no track work planned that will affect trains travelling from Brisbane Airport to the Gold Coast on the Gold Coast train line.
There may be track work on other train lines in the QR network. Please check the Translink web site for the current list of track work taking place.
Please make sure you allow yourself extra time when connecting to the Airtrain and avoid missing your flight.
QR has been performing major work on the Gold Coast line as they upgrade to dual tracks. There will be interruptions to some weekend services. However, when this work is complete Airtrain will be able to offer more frequent departures to the Gold Coast.
Due to your arrival time at the Gold Coast not being able to be scheduled, travelers using our premium services should not be disadvantaged in any way. For that reason, it is not possible to book AirtrainConnect or SmartPass services on this web site on those days listed above.
You can still book door-to-door travel to the Gold Coast on these days by contacting our Reservations Manager directly.
In most cases, we only learn of track service about 30 days in advance. If you have booked your travel before the track work is scheduled, our Reservations Manager will be in contact with you as soon as we know to arrange alternate transport.
