Track work on the Gold Coast Line
Due to Cross River Rail construction works, all Airtrain services to and from the Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Beenleigh and Varsity Lakes stations on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th May 2024.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport
- Gold Coast travel: All trains travelling from Varsity Lakes will depart 10 minutes earlier than the normal timetable between Varsity Lakes and Helensvale stations.
- If you are travelling from Varsity Lakes, Robina and Nerang stations catch a train to Helensvale station and change trains at Helensvale station to travel to the Airport.
- Brisbane City travel: These services are not impacted.
- Beenleigh travel: These services are not impacted, change trains at Roma Street station to the Airport.
- Caboolture, Sunshine Coast, Shorncliffe, Redcliffe Peninsula, Doomben travel: These services are not impacted, change trains at Eagle Junction station to the Airport. (Note: Doomben line does not operate on Sunday)
- Ferny Grove travel: This service is not impacted, change trains at Bowen Hills station to the Airport.
- Cleveland, Springfield, Ipswich, Rosewood travel: These services are not impacted, change trains at Roma Street station to the Airport.

Travelling from Brisbane Airport
- Gold Coast travel: All trains travelling from Airport towards the Varsity Lakes will arrive 7 minutes later than the normal timetable between Ormeau and Helensvale Station and arrive 15 minutes later than the normal timetable between Nerang and Varsity Lakes stations.
- If you are travelling to Varsity Lakes, Robina and Nerang stations change trains at Helensvale station to your destination.
- There will be a 7 min layover at Ormeau station and then a 8 minute wait at Helensvale station which means train will arrive 15 minutes later than a normal timetable at the Varsity Lakes station.
- Brisbane City travel: These services are not impacted.
- Beenleigh travel: These services are not impacted, change trains at Roma Street station to the Airport.
