Online
Purchase your ticket online and save 10% off the normal fare
You can purchase a range of Airtrain products from this website. The Airtrain booking tool is fully equipped to securely process your transaction at your own pace, in your own time. Another benefit of purchasing your Airtrain ticket in advance is that it will save you time at Brisbane Airport so that you can get to your destination quicker. When using the online Booking tool, make sure you have your flight details and a credit card handy, as this information will be required to make bookings.
To make a booking, select the product from the links on the right. The 10% saving applies to all products. On the page that appears, click the "Book Now" button to commence your reservation.
Excluding AirtrainConnect from the Gold Coast, you'll notice it's not possible to book an Airtrain trip to the Brisbane Airport on our website. This is because travel in this direction would involve beginning your journey from a train station staffed by QR, and not Airtrain staff. At this stage, QR cannot accept our online ticketing. So for travel from a QR station to the Airport, you simply need to purchase a ticket at the station prior to travel on the train. Tickets are available at every QR station.

From your Local Station
Every suburban station in the QR network is able to sell you a ticket to the Airport. You will find friendly staff to help you at the QR station ticket window, with all the information you need to get to the Airport on the train. Should the platform be unattended, there are ticketing machines that operate at all hours.
When travelling from a suburban station, all lines except the Gold Coast and some Beenleigh line stations (check the Interactive Map), require a change of trains at either Central Station, Bowen Hills or Eagle Junction stations. Check station monitors to confirm the platform required for the Airtrain.

From the Airport
There are two Airtrain Service counters positioned in the Brisbane Domestic Airport terminal, one near the Qantas baggage collection carousel and the other near the Virgin Blue baggage collection carousel. Customer Service staff at these counters can help you with any information about all of Airtrain's product range. You can purchase your tickets while you wait for your luggage to arrive.
Airtrain Customer Service staff are also located at the station platform ticket windows, located at Domestic Terminal Station and International Terminal Station. The platform offices are open from 5:45am until the last train at 8:00pm every day of the year.
You can use your Cabcharge vouchers to purchase Airtrain tickets from our station platform offices. So next time the queue for the Taxi looks obscene, simply walk up to the station platform and use your Cabcharge to purchase a ticket for the Airtrain.

go card
From Sunday the 1st June 2008, Airtrain passengers will be able to use their go cards to travel to and from Brisbane Airport.
The new electronic go card allows you to travel seamlessly across TransLink bus, train and ferry services without the need to queue or find cash for a ticket. The go card fare for travel to or from the Airport stations to any QR station is the same as the Airtrain single paper ticket.
|
|
|
As an incentive to use go cards, the frequent user scheme will apply for a promotional period. This means if a passenger has travelled at least ten times during the week from Monday to Sunday and then uses their go card to travel to the airport within the same week, their fare will be half price. Remember, always touch on and touch off each time you travel with your go card, as failure to do so will result in a fixed fare applied to the card holders account that may be greater than the required fare.
At this stage, the go cards are not available for purchase from Airtrain, however there are AVVM's (Added Value Vending Machines) available for customers to top-up the credit on their go cards. For more information on go cards, how to use them, fares and where to buy one, click here.

Through your Travel Agent
When travelling to Brisbane or the Gold Coast via Brisbane Airport, make sure your travel agent has Airtrain on the itinerary, and maximise the time you have on your trip. Airtrain is in constant contact with travel agents from all over the world, who want to ensure their clients have the best experience when they travel through Brisbane Airport. No one wants to spend the start of their holiday stuck in traffic, or finish it battling through gridlock to make their flight home.

CBD Ticket Books
If you travel often, or want the best deal on transfers between the Brisbane Airport and the City, then purchase Airtrain CBD tickets in books of 10 at a discounted rate. Ticket books are available for $120, that's $12 per trip instead of the usual $13.50.
These ticket books are also very popular for businesses that have staff travelling through Brisbane Airport, as it's an easy way to manage the cost of transfers with fixed ticket pricing. They can issue tickets from books of pre-purchased CBD tickets, and save money against the cost of Taxis.
You can order the tickets by contacting Airtrain Reservations or at the ticket window next time you travel on the Airtrain. Download a Faxback Order Form to place your order now.
