In response to the ever worsening traffic congestion on South East
Queensland's roads, Airtrain will commence additional services to and
from the Brisbane Airport. From Monday 31 March 2008, Airtrain will
increase the number of trains from the Airport to Brisbane City and the
Gold Coast providing greater frequency of service and extended operating hours.
The upgrade of all mid-week services to 6-carriage trains
will provide more seating on each service and therefore greater
comfort to our passengers.
From the Gold Coast to Brisbane Airport, services will increase from
30-minute intervals to run every 15 minutes in the morning peak period.
Airtrain will also provide a new later service at 8pm from Brisbane
Airport.
An additional six services each day, along with the upgrade of all of
Airtrain's mid-week services to six-car trains, will see the Gold Coast
capacity increase by 4,725 seats and Brisbane City capacity increase by
4,950 seats, an 18% increase on current levels.
Timetable
The Airtrain timetable outlines the regular uninterrupted service that
operates between the Brisbane Airport, Brisbane City and the Gold Coast. When
travelling to the Gold Coast, you do not need to change trains after
boarding the train at the airport. If you need timetable information
for other stations, and information on where to change trains, please
