Track work on Brisbane City, Gold Coast and Cleveland Line

Due to Cross River Rail construction works, all Airtrain services to and from the Brisbane City and Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Roma Street to Cleveland, Banoon, and Beenleigh stations on Saturday 15^th June and Sunday 16^th June 2024.

Before travelling we recommend you plan your journey using the Translink journey planner, find your station’s rail replacement bus stop location, and allow extra travel time for your journey. For more information on this service impact click here to visit the TransLink website or call 13 12 30.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport  

• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch all stops train to Banoon station where customers will disembark and travel by an Express rail replacement bus to Roma Street station (stopping only at South Brisbane and Southbank), to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
  • All trains will depart 5 to 7 minutes later than a normal timetable between Varsity Lakes and Beenleigh stations and will depart 10-15 minutes later than a normal timetable between Loganlea and Altandi stations.
• Brisbane City travel:
  • If you are travelling from South Brisbane station, catch a train (Shorncliffe line) to Roma Street station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
  • If you are travelling from South Bank and Park Road station, catch a rail replacement bus to Roma Street station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
  • If you are traveling from other Brisbane City stations, these services are not impacted.
• Cleveland travel: Catch the rail replacement bus to Roma Street station and transfer to a connecting train to the Airport station.
• All other services are not impacted. (Note: Doomben line does not operate on Sunday)

Travelling from Brisbane Airport 

• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch a train to Roma Street station where customers will disembark and travel by an Express rail replacement bus to Banoon station (stopping only at South Brisbane and Southbank), to catch a connecting all stops train to your destination.
  • All trains will arrive 4 to 9 minutes earlier than a normal timetable at Altandi and Loganlea station and will arrive a minute earlier than a normal timetable between Beenleigh and Varsity Lakes station.
• Brisbane City travel:

• • If you are travelling to South Brisbane station, catch a train service to Roma Street station and transfer to a connecting train to your destination.
  • If you are travelling to South Bank and Park Road station, catch a train service to Roma Street station and change to a rail replacement bus to your destination.
  • If you are traveling from other Brisbane City stations, these services are not impacted.

• Cleveland travel: Catch a train service to Roma Street station and change to a rail replacement bus service to your destination.
• All other services are not impacted. (Note: Doomben line does not operate on Sunday)

TRAVEL TIP: When travelling on the rail replacement bus, place your luggage on the seat next to   you or under the seat so it is within easy reaching distance. You may also ask your bus driver for ramp assistance when entering or exiting the bus to assist with your luggage.
