Track work on the Gold Coast Line

All Airtrain services to and from the Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Banoon and Yeerongpilly stations on Saturday 30^th and Sunday 31^st August 2025.

Before travelling we recommend you plan your journey using the Translink journey planner, find your station’s rail replacement bus stop location, and allow extra travel time for your journey. For more information on this service impact click here to visit the TransLink website or call 13 12 30.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport  

• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch all stops train to Banoon station where customers will disembark and travel by an express rail replacement bus to Yeerongpilly station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
  • If you are traveling from Nerang, Robina and Varsity Lakes stations, you will require to change trains at Helensvale station before ctaching all stops train to Banoon station.
  • The trains will be operating on altered timetable from Varsity Lakes to Banoon stations. Please plan your journey using the Translink journey planner.
    • • The trains will depart 10 minutes earlier than a normal timetable from Varsity Lakes station towards Helensvale station. (Please note the last service departing from Varsity Lakes station at 8:00 pm will not make on time at Yeerongpilly station to connect to the last Airport service)
      • The trains will be departing 3-4 minutes later from Helensvale and Coomera stations, 7 minutes later from Beenleigh station, 10 minutes later from Loganlea station and 15 minutes later from Altandi station than a normal timetable.
• All other services are not impacted.

Travelling from Brisbane Airport 

• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch a train to Yeerongpilly station where customers will disembark and travel by an express rail replacement bus to Banoon station, to catch a connecting all stops train to your destination.
  • If you are traveling to Nerang, Robina and Varsity Lakes stations, you will require to change trains at Helensvale station.
  • The trains will be operating on altered timetable from Varsity Lakes to Banoon stations. Please plan your journey using the Translink journey planner.
    • The trains will arrive 9 minutes earlier at Altandi station, 4 minutes earlier at Loganlea station and a minute earlier at Beenleigh station, 11 minutes later at Ormeau and Coomera stations and 10 minutes later at Helensvale station than a normal timetable.
    • The trains will arrive 15 minutes later than a normal timetable between Nerang and Varsity Lakes stations than a normal timetable.
• All other services are not impacted.

TRAVEL TIP: When travelling on the rail replacement bus, place your luggage on the seat next to   you or under the seat so it is within easy reaching distance. You may also ask your bus driver for ramp assistance when entering or exiting the bus to assist with your luggage.
