Track work on Brisbane City and the Gold Coast Line

All Airtrain services to and from Brisbane City and the Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Bowen Hills to Banoon, Cannon Hill and Corinda stations on Saturday 8^th and Sunday 9^th November 2025.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport  

• Brisbane City travel: The train will run express (via the Exhibition Loop) between Roma Street and Albion stations.
  • • If you are traveling from Central and Fortitude Valley stations, catch a rail replacement bus to Roma Street station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
    • If you are traveling from Bowen Hills station, catch a train to Albion station and transfer for a connecting train to the Airport.
    • If you are traveling from South Brisbane, Southbank and Boggo Road stations, catch a rail replacement bus to Roma Street station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
    • If you are traveling to other Brisbane City stations, these services are not impacted.
• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch all stops train to Banoon station where customers will disembark and travel by an express rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport. Alternatively, catch all stops train to Banoom station for a rail replacement bus to Roma Street station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport.
  • • Train will operate on altered timetable, please plan your journey using the Translink journey planner for any changes or updates to the services.
• Cleveland travel: Catch a train to Cannon Hill station and change for a rail replacement bus to travel to Roma Street station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport. The train will run express (via the Exhibition Loop) between Roma Street and Albion stations.
• Springfield Central, Ipswich and Rosewood travel: Catch a train to Corinda station and change for a rail replacement bus to travel to Roma Street station, to catch a connecting train to the Airport. The train will run express (via the Exhibition Loop) between Roma Street and Albion stations
• All other services are not impacted.

Travelling from Brisbane Airport 

• Brisbane City travel: The train will run express (via the Exhibition Loop) between Albion and Roma Street stations.
  • • If you are traveling to Central and Fortitude Valley stations, catch the train to Roma Street station and transfer to a rail replacement bus to your destination.
    • If you are traveling to Bowen Hills stations, catch the train to Albion station and transfer to a connecting train to your destination.
    • If you are traveling to South Brisbane, Southbank and Boggo Road stations, catch the train to Roma Street station and transfer to a rail replacement bus to your destination.
    • If you are traveling to other Brisbane City stations, these services are not impacted.
• Gold Coast and Beenleigh travel: Catch the train to Eagle Junction station where customers will disembark and travel by an express rail replacement bus to Banoon station, to catch a connecting all stops train to your destination. Alternatively, catch a train to Roma Street station and change for a rail replacement bus to Banoon station, to catch a connecting all stops train to your destination.
• Cleveland travel: Catch a train to Roma Street station and change for a rail replacement bus to travel to Cannon Hill station, to catch a connecting train to your destination. The train will run express (via the Exhibition Loop) between Roma Street and Albion stations.
• Springfield Central, Ipswich and Rosewood travel: Catch a train to Roma Street station and change for a rail replacement bus to travel to Corinda station, to catch a connecting train to your destination. The train will run express (via the Exhibition Loop) between Roma Street and Albion stations.
• All other services are not impacted.

TRAVEL TIP: When travelling on the rail replacement bus, place your luggage on the seat next to   you or under the seat so it is within easy reaching distance. You may also ask your bus driver for ramp assistance when entering or exiting the bus to assist with your luggage.
