Brisbane Airtrain is the fast, direct rail service between Brisbane Airport and the city centre. Instead of navigating traffic or waiting in taxi queues, you can step straight onto a modern, air‑conditioned train designed with travellers in mind—complete with luggage racks, onboard Wi‑Fi, restrooms, and real‑time information screens to guide you through your journey. It’s the fastest and most direct way into the city, delivering you to key stations like Central, Roma Street and South Bank in as little as 20 minutes, all on a frequent timetable that keeps your Brisbane Airport travel stress‑free and predictable.

What is the Airtrain timetable and how frequently does Airtrain run? 

Brisbane Airtrain operates from early morning to late evening, with frequent peak-hour services to accommodate spikes in travel and an increase in commuters. The first train from Brisbane Airport is 5:04am on weekdays and 6:04am on weekends and public holidays. The last train from Brisbane Airport is 10:04pm daily. 

Our fast and reliable services run every 15 minutes during peak times (7:30 – 10:30am and 3 – 6pm) and every 30 minutes off peak. 

Travel time on Airtrain is fast – you can travel express from Brisbane Airport to Brisbane City in 20 minutes.

How do I find Airtrain at the airport? 

At Brisbane Airport, Airtrain is directly located outside both the Domestic Terminal and International Terminal.  

At the Domestic Terminal, Airtrain is located on the elevated Skywalk and is easily accessed using travellators directly in front of the terminal.  

At the International Terminal, Airtrain is located on level 3, above the arrivals area on level 2. You can use the travellators or lifts to get to level 3. 

Airtrain has information counters at both terminals where you can purchase tickets and speak with staff to help you get to your destination.
