All Airtrain services to and from the Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Beenleigh and Varsity Lakes Stations on Saturday 14th and Sunday 15th March 2026. Rail Buses will replace trains in both directions.

All Airtrain services to and from the Inner City will be affected by track work between Albion and Roma Street Stations on Saturday 28th March and Sunday 29th March 2026.
Trains will run express between Albion and Roma Street stations via the Exhibition line. Railbuses will run between Roma Street and Albion Stations in both directions.

From Friday 3 until Sunday 26 April, there will be major track closures and travel changes for works to improve your rail network.
Some journeys may take significantly longer than usual.
Please consider your travel options, plan ahead and allow extra travel time.
Changes for each line will vary and your best travel option may change throughout April. See below for impacts.

These project works are essential to upgrade South East Queensland’s rail network as it undergoes a once-in-a-generation transformation to support our growing population.
The scale and complexity of these works requires a longer closure period to keep workers safe and complete as much work as possible.
