Gold Coast Theme Parks and Attractions

If you’re looking for some thrills and adventure, there’s no better place to be than the beautiful Gold Coast. And it’s not all beaches and bushland – the Gold Coast is famous as the home of some of Australia’s best theme parks.

The Airtrain counter can help you with pre-purchased tickets and information about the Gold Coast theme parks and attractions that will make your visit truly memorable. To get you started on your plans, here are some of the best Gold Coast theme parks and attractions to tick off your list.

Gold Coast Theme Parks and Attractions

Warner Bro’s Movie World

If you’re looking for excitement and wonder, Movie World makes the silver screen come to life with ride, characters, and fun based on Warner Bro’s most-loved movies. You can stop and get a photo with your favourite Warner Bro’s super heroes and characters who roam around the park. True to the movie-star theme, you’ll be dazzled with special effects like lasers and projections, to go along with the truly thrilling, world-class rides like the Green Lantern rollercoaster and Superman Escape. The Kid’s Fun Zone gives your kids the opportunity to play amongst their favourite Looney Tunes characters, so there’s something for everyone.

Wet’n’Wild

Make the most of the Gold Coast sun with a trip to this world class water park. Wet’n’Wild can cater to your level of adventure. From relaxing Calypso Beach to the Giant Wave Pool, all the way through to the exciting slides like the Aqualoops which send you plunging down a vertical slide through a trap door. For the smaller members of the family, there’s Wet’n’Wild Junior, featuring kid-friendly scaled down versions of the grown-up’s slides and plenty of areas to play and explore.

Dreamworld

Australia’s largest theme park, Dreamworld has it all. Ride the soaring Tower of Terror 2, the Giant Drop, the Claw, the Gold Coaster, and many other exhilarating options. But it’s not all thrills and spills – Dreamworld is home to the incredible tigers of Tiger Island, as well as plenty of Australian wildlife to meet. You can also visit the DreamWorks characters from your favourite movies and dance to The Wiggles in the kids area. Entertainment, animals, and adrenaline – it’s the perfect combination for a great day out.

White Water World

Located right next to Dreamworld, you can purchase a combined ticket to both parks or head straight to the water. You can enjoy a float through the Cave of Waves, take the kids to Wiggle Bay, or hop on the Pipeline Plunge for some serious outdoor fun. If you’d prefer to relax, hire a private cabana to escape the sun and relax with the family.

Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary

Featuring 27 hectares of beautiful Gold Coast rainforest, the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary is a must-see for any animal lover. Wander through the bushland and open exhibits, and look out for the spacious enclosures as you spy native animals, and others from around the globe. Make time to stop at Wild Island, the outdoor-themed playground that the kids will love. All profits are invested in wildlife and conservation projects, so you can feel good about purchasing that ticket.

Sea World

Dive straight into another world and see some of the most incredible sights the ocean has to offer at Australia’s Seaworld. With dolphin and seal shows, animal feeding presentations, and incredible underwater viewing, you’ll be able to experience sea creatures like never before. Visit the Nickelodeon stage and meet the Paw Patrol at different locations throughout the park, with rides for kids and adults alike. When the heat gets too much, have a splash at Castaway Bay, and then catch the amazing performances by talented thrill seekers on jet skis. Educational and amazing, Sea World is sure to delight visitors of all ages.

Paradise Country

A next-level Australian farm experience, you can get close to the farm and bush at Paradise Country. Watch the stockmen put the dogs and horses through their paces, sample billy tea and damper, and visit the shearing shed to watch the sheep shearing display – and don’t forget to keep an eye out for Shaun the Sheep as you wander around and look at the animals. Take your trip up a notch with a farm stay experience, featuring farm activities such as egg collecting, feeding baby animals, milking the cows, and more. Choose between a farm style camp, caravan or motor home sites, or Farmstay Eco Tents.
