Track work on the Brisbane City and Gold Coast Line
Due to Cross River Rail construction works, all Airtrain services to the Gold Coast will be affected by track work between Roma Street and Altandi stations and between Beenleigh and Helensvale stations on Saturday 22nd June 2024 to Sunday 23rd June 2024.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport
- Gold Coast travel: Catch a train from Varsity Lakes to Helensvale station, then transfer to a rail replacement bus between Helensvale and Beenleigh station to catch a connecting train to travel to the Airport. This train will run express (via the Tennyson Loop) between Altandi and Roma Street station.
- Brisbane City travel: All trains travelling from Roma Street will depart 8 minutes later than a normal timetable between Roma Street and Domestic stations.
- If you are travelling from South Brisbane, South Bank, or Park Road stations catch a train (Shorncliffe or Ferny Grove line) and transfer at Roma Street station to catch a connecting train to travel to the Airport.
- Beenleigh travel: The train will run express (via the Tennyson loop) between Altandi and Roma Street station.
- If you are travelling between Moorooka and Park Road station, catch a rail replacement bus to Park Road station, change trains to travel to Roma Street station to catch a connecting train to travel to the Airport.
- All other services are not impacted. (Note: Doomben line does not operate on Sunday)

Travelling from Brisbane Airport
- Gold Coast travel: All trains travelling from Airport towards the Varsity Lakes will terminate at Beenleigh station. This train will run express (via the Tennyson Loop) between Roma Street and Altandi stations. The train will arrive 5 minutes later than a normal timetable between Altandi and Varsity Lakes stations.
- Catch a train to Beenleigh station, then transfer to a rail replacement bus between Beenleigh and Helensvale station and transfer to a train service to your destination.
- Brisbane City travel: If you are travelling to South Brisbane, South Bank, or Park Road stations catch a train to Roma Street station and change trains (Cleveland line or Park Road train) to travel to your destination.
- Beenleigh travel: The train will run express (via the Tennyson loop) between Roma Street and Altandi stations.
- If you are travelling between Park Road and Moorooka station, change trains (Cleveland line or Park Road train) at Roma Street station to travel to Park Road station and catch a rail replacement bus to your destination.
- All other services are not impacted. (Note: Doomben line does not operate on Sunday)

TRAVEL TIP: When travelling on the rail replacement bus, place your luggage on the seat next to you or under the seat so it is within easy reaching distance. You may also ask your bus driver for ramp assistance when entering or exiting the bus to assist with your luggage.
