Full Track Closure between the Airport, Brisbane City, and Northern Lines

From the first service Saturday 20^th July until the last service Sunday 21^st July, there will be a full track closure between the Airport, Brisbane City, and the northern lines. Rail Buses will replace trains in both directions.

 Before travelling we recommend you plan your journey using the Translink journey planner, find your station’s rail replacement bus stop location, and allow extra travel time for your journey. For more information on this service impact click here to visit the TransLink website or call 13 12 30.

Travelling to Brisbane Airport  

• Gold Coast/Beenleigh travel: Disembark at Roma Street Station to catch the express rail replacement bus to the Airport. Express bus R700 will be operating every 15 minutes from 6:04am-22:05pm with 10 minutes services between 7am-5pm from Bus stop 125.
• Brisbane City travel:
  • If you are travelling from Central or Fortitude Valley Stations, catch the train to Roma Street station to connect with the express rail replacement bus to the Airport. Express buses will be operating every 15 minutes from 6:04am-22:05pm with 10 minutes services between 7am-5pm from Bus stop 125.

• If you are travelling from Bowen Hills, Albion, Wooloowin, or Eagle Junction Stations, catch the all stops rail replacement bus to the Bus R701 will be operating every 30 minutes.

• Caboolture, Sunshine Coast, Redcliffe Peninsula, Shorncliffe, Doomben travel: Catch the rail replacement bus to Eagle Junction Station and transfer to all stops rail replacement bus to the Airport. Bus R701 will be operating from Eagle Junction station every 30 minutes. (Note: Doomben line does not operate on Sunday)

• Ferny Grove travel: Catch a Ferny Grove train to Bowen Hills station, then catch all stops rail replacement bus from Bowen Hills to the Airport. Bus R701 will be operating every 30 minutes.
• Cleveland, Springfield, Ipswich, Rosewood travel: Disembark at Roma Street Station to catch the express rail replacement bus to the Airport. Express buses will be operating every 15 minutes from 6:04am-22:05pm with 10 minutes services between 7am-5pm from Bus stop 125.

TRAVEL TIP: When travelling on the rail replacement bus, place your luggage on the seat next to you or under the seat so it is within easy reaching distance. You may also ask your bus driver for ramp assistance when entering or exiting the bus to assist with your luggage.  

Travelling from Brisbane Airport 

• Gold Coast/Beenleigh travel: Catch the express rail replacement bus to Roma Street station, to transfer for a connecting train service to your destination. Express bus R700 will be operating every 15 minutes from 6:04am-22:05pm with 10 minutes services between 7am-5pm from the Airport.

• Brisbane City travel:
