Tour De Brisbane โ€“ Helpful hints, things to do and an online exclusive offer

Tour De Brisbane is a bike-only ride that allows participants to see all of Brisbaneโ€™s most iconic landmarks right from the seat of their bike.

Itโ€™s the only bike ride in Australia that extends across fully closed inner city roads, giving riders exclusive access to South Bank, the Story Bridge, Legacy Tunnel, Mt Coot-tha, Western Freeway, South East Busway, the Go Between Bridge and many more central Brisbane streets.

Locals ride alongside visitors from all over Australia to experience the event that blends a passion for cycling with a spectacular showcase of Brisbaneโ€™s finest locations.

One of the best parts about Tour De Brisbane is that you donโ€™t have to be a skilled cyclist to participate. The event also offers a Trek FREE Community Ride. So grab your bikes, your friends, your family and get involved in whatโ€™s sure to be a fantastic weekend.

Where and when does Tour De Brisbane kick off?

The Brisbane cycling festival is set to kick off on Sunday April 5, 2020 on Grey Street, South Brisbane.

Flanked by the Southbank Parklands on one side and a plethora of restaurants and cafes on the other, Tour De Brisbane presents a unique opportunity to jump into one of the most unique experiences on two wheels and soak up the best of Brisbane by the river.

How to get there

The easiest way to get to the starting line in Grey Street is by travelling with Airtrain to South Brisbane Station, located on the very same street.

Travelling directly from Brisbane Airport to the CBD, Airtrain is one of the most cost-effective, reliable and fuss-free ways to travel.

Best of all, Airtrain charges no extra fees for oversized baggage (yes โ€“ that includes bikes!). The spacious carriages of our Next Generation trains mean that thereโ€™s plenty of room for you, your friends and your bikes.

Donโ€™t get caught up in traffic congestion or worry yourself with trying to Tetris your bike into the car โ€“ Airtrainโ€™s crisp air-conditioning and free wifi mean that you can take a moment to relax and admire Brisbaneโ€™s scenic views before you hop off at South Brisbane Station to compete in the big race.

To welcome Tour De Brisbane competitors and spectators, Airtrain is offering $25 return tickets between Brisbane Airport and the City. To redeem this online exclusive offer, enter the promocode TOUR20 when booking. For more information, head over to Airtrainโ€™s Event Specials.
